We are so honoured to have Gemma on the judging panel this year, as a truly inspirational blogger we couldn’t think of anyone better to head up the judging for our newly introduced Mental Health category. Gemma’s blog ‘how to make friends,’ has been an incredible support to many bloggers (and non bloggers) across the world and we are privileged to get to work with someone who takes this subject so seriously. Thanks for joining us Gemma!

What does being a judge for #UKB19 mean to you?
I was honoured to win the Health & Social category at the UK Blog Awards 2018, so to come back as a judge in 2019 is so exciting. The mental health category in particular is incredibly important to me and I appreciate it takes courage and authenticity to blog about this subject. I really respect bloggers in this category for sharing personal stories of mental health struggles, journeys and breakthroughs in order to help others. I truly believe these bloggers deserve to receive recognition for doing that. I absolutely loved the whole UK Blog Awards process and can’t wait to be a part of that for someone else.

What are you most looking forward to this awards season?

I’m really looking forward to meeting and celebrating with talented bloggers that are dedicated, creative and truly passionate about what they do. Attending events can be daunting especially if you suffer with mental health issues. I’m looking forward to working with UK Blog Awards to provide bloggers with support to make great connections, new friends and enjoy every bit of the process along the way.
