Basic Details

Name746 Books
Basic InfoMy blog started in 2013 when I counted all the unread books I owned. It came to 746. In 2012 I had read 36 books, which meant that reading at that rate would take me over 20 years to read all my unread books! So, I decided to stop buying new books. I do allow myself bookish gifts, publisher’s ARCs and the occasional library trip, but I have stopped buying and I read and review from my mountainous TBR pile!I am also passionate about Irish Literature and host the annual Reading Ireland Month in March and have an Irish Literature section to share news and reviews about the exciting work coming from Ireland.I work full time as the Arts Programmer at the Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy where my compulsive reading is seen as a transferable skill! I review theatre for the Irish entertainment website No More Workhorse and am a contributor to the Belfast Book Festival.
What Blog Means To YouBlogging has afforded me opportunities I would never have had the chance to take part in, such as interviewing authors for the Belfast Book Festival. My passion is reading books, reading about books and reviewing books so my blog is a great creative outlet which also feeds into my working life!
