The topic for #BEDN today is ‘Favourite Folk‘ which is a lovely topic to blog about for a Friday!

One thing that the UKBA14 team have found fantastic and heartwarming is the number of wonderful people we have connected with through the  so far.  We have been overwhelmed by the response from the amazing UK blogging community and this has been truly inspiring.  Through  so many of you are willing to share your personal expertise and blogging hints and tips, as well as discover, visit and comment on other peoples blogs.  You have offered copious encouragement to so many bloggers, whether they are completely new/just starting out as a blogger or whether they are experienced bloggers with a specific technical question or bloggers block!

We are really excited about sharing more information through the forthcoming free blogging Ebook we are creating.  A wealth of information, personal stories and  learning has been submitted already from a great mix of people.  We still need to hear from more inspiring bloggers though!  If you want to be part of the ebook you still have chance, but don’t delay!  .

It has been wonderful to mingle and ‘meet’ people from the 12 industry categories.  It is great to find out the commonalities bloggers share, regardless of your niche.  Most importantly though it is great to learn and gain a new and fresh perspective from a different industry.  This was the vision Gemma had when she first thought of the idea of the UK Blog Awards more than 3 years ago.  Lifestyle bloggers can learn from Technology Bloggers and Automotice Bloggers and learn from Wedding Bloggers!

Over the past couple of weeks we have had category hosts for #BlogHour and it has been great to witness the cross industry sharing and the ideas and perhaps unlikely connections this has generated.

Have you connected and learnt from other bloggers involved in the UK Blog Awards?  What have you learnt from other industry bloggers?  We would love to hear your thoughts below!
