The UK Blog Awards 2016, in association with ODEON Cinemas went live for entries this week to recognise and award the best blogging talent across the UK. In the first day alone, we have received nearly 500 entries!
To continue celebration of recognition and community, we felt it was very fitting to title this week’s #BlogHour chat as, UK Blogging Community.
Over the past two years, the UKBA team has worked hard to help individual and company bloggers gain exposure, awareness and recognition online for their digital content. And we expect year 3 to be no different. The Oxford Dictionary defines one community definition as: “A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.” We question, does this define community of the digital age? Let us know your thoughts.
In preparation for #BlogHour tonight via Twitter at 9pm, we have some great questions from our online community below:
Q1. What were your intentions for creating a Blog? Via @angusandvivian #BlogHour
Q2. @OxfordWords defines community as: “A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.” How would you define? #BlogHour
Q3. Will there be Blogs in 5 years’ time? Via @KarolinaBarnes #BlogHour
Q4. Do Bloggers get disheartened if their Blogs are being viewed but they don’t leave comments? Via @Grange_Park_PE #BlogHour
Q5. How do you handle PR agencies that ask you to write something for free because it will be ‘good exposure’? Via @SeasonsinColour #BlogHour
Q6. Does anyone plan their giveaways? Do they try to do it regularly or when they feel like it? Via @aumsome #BlogHour
We hope you can join the conversation tonight at 9pm. As always, don’t forget to use the hashtag, #BlogHour in your tweets for maximum engagement. If you manage a Blog or have some favourite UK Blogs who you believe deserve recognition in 2016 for their content, you can enter or nominate into #UKBA16 here: http://www.blogawardsuk.co.uk/enter-ukba16
